Terms of service

Using Demijohn means agreeing to these terms. They are short on purpose.

The service

Demijohn is an app and website for logging home-made mead, cider and wine. The free plan and the Premium subscription are described on the pricing section. We may change features over time; paid features you rely on will not be removed from an active subscription without notice and a refund option.

Your account

  • You must be of legal drinking age where you live.
  • Keep your sign-in method to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
  • One account per person; household sharing is for sharing batches, not accounts.

Your content

Everything you enter stays yours. You give us the permission needed to store it, sync it between your devices, show it to people you share with, and generate exports and public pages when you ask for them. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is illegal or abusive.

Subscriptions

  • Premium is billed through the App Store or Google Play at the price shown there, monthly or yearly, after a free trial where offered.
  • It renews automatically until cancelled in your store account. Cancelling stops the next charge; the current period runs to its end.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their rules. The founder price applies for as long as the subscription stays active.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep Demijohn available and your data safe, with backups and encryption in transit. The service is provided as is; we are not liable for a lost batch, a stuck fermentation or a decision you take based on a number the app shows. Calculators are estimates. Please taste.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time (how). We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attack it, or break the law, and we will say why.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of establishment; consumers keep the protections of their own country. Questions: hello@demijohn.app.
